Research Interests:

  1. Shelf life enhancement of fruit and vegetables.
  2. Extraction and characterization of valuable components from processing waste
  3. Purification of enzymes

Research Projects:

  • Process protocol for development of white crystalline powder from stevia leaves and extracted steviosides.

  • Process protocol and pilot plant for development of menthol crystals from mint oil

  • Development of a vacuum assisted Ohmic heating system for the concentration of non-thermally stabilized fruit juices.

  • Extraction and characterization protein concentrates from leaves of tuber crops

  • Characterization of euryhaline microalgal strains for bioactive metabolite production
