The monthly training camp of PAU Kisan Club (Regd.), organized by the Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, under the leadership of Dr Jaskarn Singh Mahal, Director Extension Education, PAU was held here yesterday. Associate Director, Skill Development and Coordinator, Dr T.S. Riar informed that 355 farmers participated in the camp. He further reviewed the activities of the Kisan Club.

Dr Amarjeet Singh shared tips on controlling yellow rust in wheat, Dr Sudanshu shed light on bio agents for control of insect pests in crops, importance of medicinal plants was outlined by Dr G.S. Cheema, Dr M.S, Sidhu shared the government policies regarding agriculture and Kisan Club member, Sardar Nishan Singh shared information about gram sabha. Ravinder Bhalooria, while proposing the vote of thanks, informed about the forthcoming meetings of the kisan club.

Dr Rupinder Kaur informed that the monthly training camp of the ladies wing of PAU Kisan Club was organized at Kairon Kisan Ghar in which 32 farm women took part. The participants were given demonstration on preparation of gajrela, burfi, cake, pickle , chutney and nutrient products made from black carrots by Dr Kiran Grover and Dr Navjot Kaur from the Department of Food and Nutrition, PAU.
