A Kisan Mela was organised by PAU’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Pathankot on “Crop Residue Management” at village Gho in block Sujanpur. Experts delivered lectures on paddy residue management technologies, especially, in situ crop residue management technology, plant protection measures for kharif crops, economics of residue management, management of dairy animals, integrated nutrition gardening and subsidiary occupations. In this program, relevant literature was also distributed. Information regarding PAU varieties of paddy was shared and seeds were made available through sale. Exhibition of products made by progressive farmers alongwith PAU technologies were displayed. Participation of farmers/farm women and other beneficiaries in good numbers made the event successful.
